Kelcyre is a small town that lies along the mountains and Nemërçkë-Trebeshinë and washed by the river Vjosa and Dëshnica. Këlcyrë town, is located to the right of Vjosa river, there where the river of Dëshnic with its branches meets Vjosa and start to flow together.Këlcyrë Gorge is one of the most beautiful gorges of Albania, especially the Black Water Source, which although not mentioned as much as one can say for other water points of the Albanian nature is worth a visited place, especially the waterfall in the tourist point. In every season you can enjoy this Panorama in a wonderful area. This wonderful place called the Source of Black Water, is a peculiar landscape where the natural vegetation is combined between grass, trees, forest with vegetation that is hydrophilic resources along the river of Vjosa, in a habitat where all types of vegetation are well expressed. The plane-trees of Këlcyra together with the source create a very attractive tourist resort for tourism or strolling tourism.Unless water is pure crystals, there are also exceptional value and helpful to cure the body. The water is potable and used for all facilities from the establishments which have built there small hotels or restaurants. After a short break, we drive to Osumi Canyon.
The Osumi Canyon is a river canyon in southern Albania, near the town of Corovoda. The river, which passes through the town of Berat, flows through the canyon. There are many underground passages and unexplored caves throughout the length of Canyon. During the spring, high water from melting snow makes it possible to explore the whole length of the canyon from the river. At the end of the summer, when the water is lower, the full length of the canyon is not navigable, but there are various walks with opportunities for swimming in various pools and streams. In this area, you can practice water sports like canoeing, rafting and kayaking. There are also several spots that serve as small beaches, such as Varishta. After this interesting visit, we drive to Berati.
Berat is a treasure-trove of Albanian history and culture, and a testament to the country’s tradition of religious harmony. The city forms a wonderful combination of eastern and western cultures, costumes, traditions, and outlook. A 2,407 year old city. The city’s life began in the 6th-5th century B.C. as an Illyrian settlement. Later, in the 3rd century B.C., it was turned into a castle city known as Antipatrea. The castle expanded afterwards and inside the castle, they built churches with valuable frescos and icons, and also a calligraphy school. Uniquely today, residents still live inside of the castle walls. We walk through the narrow cobbled streets and finally reach Berat Castle on the slopes of Mount Tomorr, where we are rewarded with breath-taking views (and begin to understand why it is known to Albanians as 'The City of a Thousand Windows'). The three major neighborhoods of the old city are Mangalemi, Gorica, and Kala, where the castle itself is located. In Mangalemi, below the castle, you can see the famous view of the façades of the houses, with windows that seem to stand above each other. In general, a traditional house has two floors, where the second is prominent and has many cambered windows and wood carvings.Across the Osum River lies the Gorica neighborhood, whose houses face those of Mangalemi. The arched bridge of Gorica, built in 1780, is a beautiful architectural monument constructed to link Gorica with Mangelemi. After this intersting experience, we drive to Sarande.
End of our service.
