We spend each night in a different 3 or 4-star hotel or pension with good service, amenities and en suite rooms.The accommodation ranges from comfortable modern properties to older properties bursting with character.
Day 1:Spectacular coastal ride to the long beach of Himarë Bay.
Arrival from Corfu to Sarande. We begin our interesting tour to Himara ,a small communist-era fishing village with a small promenade filled with cafes, restaurants and ice cream stands .Climbing steeply out of Sarande to a rocky plateau, we enjoy a spectacular coastal ride over cols into bays and around headlands. Always with the stunning mountain scenery to the right and sea to the left. Before descending to Himarë, we will stop to Borshi for lunch.After lunch we continue to Himara. Accomodation and dinner at the hotel.Overnight in Himara.
Day 2: Ride towards Llogara.
After breakfast at the hotel , we continue cycling to Dhermi and Llogara. At 1043m above sea level, this climb also will show you how strong you are. This climb comes with a real sense of achievement, and the views are fantastic.We recommend taking a warmer layer for reaching the top of the pass. From here you enter Llogara National Park, home to black pine, Eurasian otter and golden eagles. The park is a scenic expanse of protected woodland that encompasses the forests on the northern side of the Llogora Pass. Stopping for lunch , enjoying the natural beauty, the fresh air and the amaizing view. After lunch, we ride to Orikum and there we take a minibus, to drive us to Berat. Accomodation and dinner at the hotel. Overnight in Berat.
Day 3: Ride towards Corovode.
After breakfast at the hotel, we visit Berat with its pretty white buildings perched on the hill amid pine forests. After visits we ride towards Corovode.The river Osum passes through the city. Upstream it forms canyons and caves which are the highest and the longest in Albania.................................................
Day 4: Valley ride towards Kelcyra / Passing from Kelcyra.
After breakfast, we continue along the valley towards Kelcyra, with its distant shark-tooth peaks, which guard a further gorge passing from Canyons. We arrive in Kelcyre. Both lunch and dinner will be served on this peaceful place. Accomodation at the hotel. Overnight in Kelcyra.
Day 5: Visits in Gjirokaster.
Breakfast in Kelcyre and continue our trip to Gjirokaster. The well-preserved town is perched on the steep side of the Drino Valley, overlooking snow-capped mountains. In the afternoon we take a cultural tour through the city and explore its narrow cobbled alleys and 18th Century Ottoman houses. We also visit the 13th Century castle and learn about the fascinating history of this town, which has seen many rulers and has inspired poets, authors and artists. We will have lunch in a traditional restaurant. Accomodation and dinner at the hotel. Overnight in Gjirokaster.
Day 6: Ride to Saranda . Lunch at Blue Eye.
After breakfast we load the bikes on to the support vehicle and transfer up to Muzina Pass ,towards Saranda. En route to Saranda we will stop at Blue Eye, an area where seven artesian wells (natural springs) rise.Named after the largest spring, the water descends to depths of over 50m as it infiltrates the pale-coloured surrounding rock. The perfect place to have an relaxing lunch, under the sound of birds and water. After lunch we continue to Sarande. Accomodation and dinner at the hotel .Overnight in Saranda.
Day 7: Sarande - Port.
After breakfast, we drive to the port. End of our service.
These tours can be physically challenging, and demand you to be in good physical shape. The roads are not always in the best of conditions and may contain some big ascents and descents.
Prior cycling experience is an advantage, but not necessary for those who are in good shape. You must remember that you will bike with a group of people, partially in city traffic, so you will be moving in single file formation and proceeding quite slowly in the pedestrian area. Also, you must remember that it’s always better to stop when you are not sure how to interpret the signs or moves of other vehicles on the street.
What to bring:
Breathable lightweight waterproof gear (gore-tex, sympatex, etc), fleece/wool pullover, wind-stopper jacket and gloves, small backpack with rain coverage, cap, sun block, mosquito repellent, head lamp, water bottle, sunglasses

With whom will I share my room?
Our set departure tours are based on twin sharing rooms. We will make sure that you will only
share your room with a person of the same sex. In case you want to share your room with a specific
persons you know, please let us know at booking.
Can I bring my own bike?
You can either bring your own bike, or rent a bike from us.
What is the cost for a rental bike?
A rental bike cost 15 euros per day
Does this tour have a guaranteed departure?
For the cycling tour Accursed mountains, we need a min number of 7 participants to guarantee a
departure. You can check our departure dates and see what departures are guaranteed or contact
us for further information. 48 hours prior to departure we will let you know if there are enough
participants to run a tour, in case there are not enough participants you can either choose to cancel
or pay a small group supplement.
